Alex, rebar in buildings is not stronger when it's stressed. You're probably thinking of pre-stressed concrete, but that doesn't usually use rebar.
@Tesityr No, rebar does not make concrete stronger via compression, rebar holds the tensile forces in reinforced concrete. To make reinforced concrete, you make a rebar cage, and then pour concrete around it, letting it set. The rebar has never been stressed at this point. Once a load is applied, the concrete will hold the compressive forces and the rebar (if designed correctly) will hold the tensile forces. You are also thinking of pre-stressed concrete, where wires are subjected to a strong tensile force, then concrete is poured around the wire and allowed to set. After that the tension in the wires is released, causing them to apply a compressive load to the concrete. Do note that the wires are not rebar.
Rebar makes concrete stronger via compression. It is literally a tension mechanism to reinforce the concrete. That is the usage meant here.
as I commented before. this series sucked. not funny at all. did not land at all. I gave it time though, maybe the client reveal will make it make sense and work. it did not. was the goal to be able to trash the build all along? because I understand that this idea enabled you guys to do that, but now that it's over I can say that it wasn't worth it. pls don't do other projects like this. this sucked balls.
