@I Hate Communism if the power supply doesn't have a name brand on it, you may want to replace that as well. It's kind of a pain but it'll save you the pain of it dying and potentially taking other components with it in a couple of years.

Nice indeed A++ for the last one :) Thanks for the video. Customer Support is also an ART and should be done only by those who have a Pasion and full understanding of computers so they can explain it easy to understand as in the last MAIN system. Two thumbs up and sadly your experience matches some of mine with Dell.

Am I the only one that usually gets one side of the RAM to click into place at a time, and has never had an issue doing it that way?
I used to be a tech at a medical device company. Working devices make money which is probably why we actually use mock devices and video calls to solve customer problems.
You guys should do a comparison for a male customer versus a female customer. I wonder if the quality of tech support differs depending on gender.

Whats sad alot of the scripts these type of people read they have to go through all these 1 at a time in this order or they get docked on performance reviews 😭. Even if they know what's wrong they're not supposed to until they get to that step. (Not saying this particular guy knows anything)
They should do suprise calls on their own employeees for a video.
I've walked hundreds of people through reseating components inside the tower over the phone, RAM, HDDs, etc. Even in laptops when the RAM is under the keyboard. I would blame the majority of the issues experienced on the lack of soft skills training by their employer. We (Dell North America) had a 6 week course for training hard skills and soft skills. Continued education on new systems and software with constant mentorship for both. There is two classifications for components in any system a CRU (customer replaceable unit) and FRU (field replaceable unit). All CRUs are deemed to be replaceable by a customer over the phone. RAM is a CRU. The support website has all of the teardowns for all Dell models to be able to completely tear down and reassemble a unit. I have no concept of why that Dell Tech was so abysmal, QA score 5; assuming they opened the call correctly, "Thank you for choosing Dell, my name is XXX. how may I help you today?" The last two techs were much more aligned with the support level that I and my local colleagues tried to deliver. Last guy knew what was up, excellent soft skills combined with hard skills. I'd pass that tech with a 100 QA score.
As a former Dell tech support senior rep, who not only took calls; but, also listen to thousands of ours of calls for quality and tech mentoring, this sent me back into my call center depression.

Origin PC Tech Support is indeed superb. However Origin loses in value which is sad
The thing with tech support is that your performance is measured by how short your call is, this is why most will just tell you to send your PC back and then end the call.

In all fairness, I probably couldn't count to 4 either after having a 45 minute mind numbing conversation like that either

Had an issue with Dell years ago. Each time service escalated to the next level - they always started at the beginning troubleshooting steps. I finally was so upset that I called a private local company and we did a workaround. Would never use are recommend Dell to anyone.

too many comments so it is hard to say, has anyone pointed out that it is unwise to change the components inside the case while the tower case is in a stand-up position? lay down the tower case before you release/replace/reseat any piece on the mainboard.

I always wondered why those notches on the memory sticks aren't like more to one side. Cause they are so close to being in the middle its hard to tell sometimes, it should be like near the edge!
While the HP laptops I've owned in the past have always been unreliable garbage I've always had good experiences with their tech support.
This video taught me the same thing as the 2018 one. If a friend or family member asks which SI to buy from, point them to Maingear. It's clear they care about their customers' experience. Fantastic.

I was worried when I had heard in a wan show that some of the companies had gotten worse since last time. I specifically was worried that maingear was one of them, *spoilers* but I am happy I was wrong, and they actually improved.

That dell logo mistake Sarah made, reminds me of that story from customer support about the customer who got asked "do you have any windows open?`" and the customer replies "Nooo? But I do have a door slightly ajar... Could that be the issue?" Dell is horrible at treating their customers, unless it's the professional market then it is pretty straight forward.

I would guess that the reason Ibuypower and cyberpower went to the gpu before the ram was because of the fact that both ram sticks were unseated and you weren't displaying anything.
