I know this is partly a gag video, but actually sorting by highest rated is kind of a good way to be disappointed if you're a generic consumer. The way rating scales like this tend to work favors niche products with aggressive fan followings. So you might get a product that's perfect for a small percentage of customers, but the likelihood that it's the best value for your needs is fairly low. Most of the time I've had better success with this type of "uneducated" purchase doing the equivalent of going to Amazon, sorting by most popular, then limiting the results to 4 stars or higher. What you're looking for are items purchased by large numbers of customers (another way to check for this is large numbers of customer reviews on the item, of course) that still preserve an acceptably high rating.

It's sad, but doing my research when building my first gaming rig, I practically have the exact same system he's building. Best bang for my buck, for each product I bought. The 3700x, Tuff-Gaming x570, (T-force 3200 16gb ram), Kingston SSD though, annnnddd a 1660ti. The herd (even though I had 0 intentions of following) somehow led me to all those parts XD. Theyre great parts, what can I say.

I've legit had my HAF-XB case (first gen, not evo) for over a decade and at least three different platforms throughout its time- it's gone through several moves, and has had its fair share of abuse. its a fantastic case and has a ton of room and ventilation. It's also had the same 1k plat kingwin since forever ago too. 9700k, 2070 super, m2's, the works- still have a CD drive because why get rid of it when theres a space for it below the other space for it :D

I'm going to make this PC and it will be my first build I'm right now on an HP Laptop silver core and it's not that good it plays tf2 at high fps 31fps and a low of 1 fp3s. And it runs Minecraft at a high 60 fps and a low of 1 fps. It will take me a bit bc the money.

On your comments about the herd mentality parts not having RGB... it's because 1) rgb (i feel) is distracting, not necessarily visually appealing and 2) i think most consumers care much more about performance and price vs performance, rather than aesthetics. I'm building a pc atm and i genuinely only consider performance and cost (which the rat's nest of wires dangling in my case could attest to).
